Translation:
What is sign language?

Translation:
"Hey, what are they doing? Is that dancing?"
"Gestures look the same, how could they understand each other?"

Translation:
Most of us are hearing people.
And living in the same country and the same world is another community, the Deaf people.

Translation:
One of the difference between this two communities is that:
Left column: Hearing people communicate using vocal languages.
Right column: Deaf people use sign languages, meaning utilizing gestures and facial expressions to express what they see. For example, the word banana in VSL looks like someone peeling a banana.

Translation:
Most people who have problems with hearing (hearing loss ranging from mild to severe) don't use sign language.
However, sign language plays a significant role in the Deaf community because this is one of the primary communications tool and their culture.
Translation:
Xis Sign believes that sign language is a beautiful language with many aspects to explore.
We understood this after spending time learning Hanoi Sign Language (3 branches of VSL: Hanoi Sign Language, Ho Chi Minh City Sign Language, Hai Phong Sign Language)

Xis Sign's posts are categorized as the followings:

2. You might not know this - Facts related posts
3. Biographies of inspiring figures in the Deaf, deaf, and hard-of-hearing communities.

Important note:
We don't teach sign language. If you want to learn this language, we highly recommend you going to professional teaching centers with Deaf teachers.
